THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER – Rami Malek, Ben Hardy, Joe Mazzello and Gwilym Lee are starring as the members of the iconic band.
Rising star Lucy Boynton has signed on for Bryan Singer’s Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

Rami Malek already is attached to portray legendary frontman Freddie Mercury while Ben Hardy, Joe Mazzello and Gwilym Lee are playing the other band members, Roger Taylor, John Deacon and Brian May, respectively.

Boynton will play Freddie Mercury’s lifelong companion, Mary Austin. While they lived together in London for several years, he later had relationships with male lovers, and told Austin of his homosexuality. Austin and Mercury remained friends. He wrote several songs about Austin, including “Love of My Life.”

Graham King’s GK Films banner is producing for 20th Century Fox and New Regency. Justin Haythe (Red Sparrow, Revolutionary Road) penned the script with King, Jim Beach and Singer producing. Denis O’Sullivan, Arnon Milchan and Jane Rosenthal are executive producers. Kira Goldberg is overseeing the project for Fox.

The production start date is scheduled for September. The film is slated for U.S. release on Dec. 25, 2018.

Boynton was recently seen in another music-themed film, the critically acclaimed Sing Street. She will soon be seen in IFC’s Rebel in the Rye and FOX’s Murder on the Orient Express as well as Apostle which she recently completed lensing on. She is repped by CAA and United Agents.

Here is your first look at Lucy in one of her upcoming projects ‘Apostle’. We know little about her character, but according to a recent interview, she plays the cult leaders daughter named Andrea.

The year is 1905. Thomas Richardson travels to a remote island to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a mysterious religious cult demanding a ransom for her safe return. It soon becomes clear that the cult will regret the day it baited this man, as he digs deeper and deeper into the secrets and lies upon which the commune is built.

It’s finally here, thanks to Entertainment Weekly and their first look at Lucy as Countess Andrenyi in ‘Murder on the Orient Express’. THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER – Kenneth Branagh’s star-studded adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express pulled into Las Vegas with the first footage at CinemaCon Thursday.

Branagh directs and stars in the Fox film, which also features Penelope Cruz, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Leslie Odom Jr., Daisy Ridley, Michael Pena and Judi Dench among the cast.

The story centers around a murder onboard the famous train and introduces Belgian detective Hercule Poirot (Branagh), who must solve the case while being surrounded by duplicitous passengers.

Branagh, sending in a video from Malta where he’s filming the project, said “we’ve assembled an amazing group” of his cast. “This is not only a who dunnit and how dunnit, it’s crucially a why dunnit,” he said.

The stylish trailer shows a train traveling through a snowy landscape. In it is a varied cast of characters, all of whom could be the murderer.

“I see evil on this train,” says a voice. We get our first look at many of the stars in their characters, and the final frame is of Barangh’s Hercule Poirot, sporting blonde hair and a massive grey mustache.

The film is scheduled for release on November 22.

DEADLINE – Netflix has acquired the global distribution rights to period revenge thriller Apostle, written and directed Gareth Evans, with Michael Sheen, Lucy Boynton, Bill Millner, and Kristine Froseth joining the cast along with previously announced Dan Stevens, who was attached to the project early on. Filming is schdeuled to begin in April, with XYZ Films, Severn Screen and Evans’ One More One Production producing.

The pic follows man who travels to a remote island and attempts to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a religious cult. The group demands a ransom for the sister’s return, undermining the man’s resolve to rescue her.

Aram Tertzakian and Ed Talfan are producing along with Evans. Exec producers are Nate Bolotin and Nick Spicer.

Sheen’s upcoming film slate includes Hallie Meyers-Shyer’s Home Again with Reese Witherspoon and Mike White’s comedy Brad Status. He’s repped by ICM Partners and Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management. Boynton, set to play opposite Naomi Watts in Netflix’s drama series Gypsy, is repped by CAA and United Agents. Repped by UTA and Curtis Brown Group, Millner stars in the Netflix original film iBoy. Froseth, who will next appear in Danny Strong’s Sundance film Rebel In The Rye, is with WME, Anonymous Content and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
